XM on 2013 Boxster
Just picked up my 2013 Boxster S on Saturday and get only sporadic XM reception. It'll come on for maybe 5 seconds and then cut out. After spending 30 minutes on hold to talk to am XM customer care rep, he sent a refresh signal to the car, and still nothing. Then, I thought it might have something to do with the fact that I opened an XM account for the Boxster when I cancelled the Sirius account for the Audi I traded in, and that this new account might somehow conflict with the 3 month XM trial period that the dealer puts on the car. Called XM and the guy told me that this had nothing to do with the issue. Could it be that the XM antenna in the car is faulty? As I said, I do get sporadic reception which then suddenly goes away and a note appears on the bottom of the screen "No XM signal." Any thoughts?

I have been having no problem with XM siginal except in my garage, which is below 2 floors of concrete.
As to prior account; I have an XM account for other cars and XM people advised me not to add the Porsche to that existing account till after the free trial to maximize the free time and at end of trial close the new trial account and add P-car to my existing account.

Took it in and discovered that it was a bad satellite antenna. Part ordered but comes only in the primer color, so it needs to be sent to body shop to paint matching exterior color. Relieved it wasn't a fault in the tuner.

My previous Audi's used to eat XM and Sirius tuner boxes like it was going out of style. They would go to cutting in and out and then get replaced. I wonder if Delphi still makes those things.
