I was thinking I might be able to borrow one and get my fiberglass guy to mold it if there was enough demand for it. But I don't think there is much demand for it or else they would still be making it.

Viking,

Is there another way to mount a wing on the boxster like the Cayman ITC cars do or is a custom decklid w/ tailbase like this the only way to go?

There are many ways to mount a wing. I would probably go to the trunk panel sides if I had to do it again. The Kolkien wing was expensive and not really the best made, not too light.

You can see one at NASA NAtionals, I will be there with the 996 and Boxster S running in GTS classes.

I have a spare rear decklid so if I decide to do a GTS2 setup I would use that to mount the wing to and stick a nose with aero on the car. Easy things to swap out.

I have another customers car in right now that has a big wing on his Boxster S with a stock deck lid. It's not one I designed nor installed, I actually lightened it up a little for him, but it may help to give you some ideas. PM me your email if you'd like and I can take some pictures and email them to you.
