Default $5 Spark plug tube removal tool

I tried the transom plug method for removing plug tubes. I was able to get 2 out, but by that point the washers on the plug were bent too much to get enough pressure on the 3rd tube.

I went to home depot and found these 3/4 threaded pipe nipples. The bigger one is is about 2 inches and 1 inch for the smaller one.
A few turns into the tube really secures the pipe in tight and then you can use the tee as a handle.

If I was to do the job again I would probably get a cap to screw onto the pipe and then use a screwdriver to pry for the tube which has the hose in the way.

Big thank you to sghokie. This method worked like a charm. I even bought the cap as you suggested. Made getting those front tubes out a breeze.

Last year I found a galvanized pipe cap was the perfect fit to drift in a new front bearing for a Mitsu. alternator on my Miata.

Heck a plastic pipe coupler is good for drifting in a new Boxster RMS too.....
