Default Wheel fitment question

Will 996 18" wheels fit an '05 Boxster S? They are 18 x 7.5 and 18 x 10 with a front ET 50 and rear EtT65. Appreciate any reply, am considering buying these for track wheels.

Thanks,
Rick

Calculations based on wheel clearance measurements I recorded from my car indicate that the front wheel fitment should be no problem. The rear one is a potential inside clearance problem due to the large offset.

The good thing about negative offset is that you can always reduce it with spacers within reason. It looks like you would need about a 15 mm spaceer to make that rear wheel work.

Good luck.

Thanks, I found some other references with exactly your recommendation. Your calculations very much appreciated.

I'm running 8"x18"ET48 with 235/40-18 front and 10"x18"ET60 with 18mm spacers and 285/30-18 rear with no rubbing issues. With ET65 you should be able to run 20-25mm spacers with 265/35-18 tires with no fender rubbing. I used to have 295/30-18, but they rubbed when I hit bumps. THe 285's fit the Boxster perfect!

rick - i run that exact setup with 21mm spacers. 15mm spacers would not work.

fronts fine. for the rear with a 10 inch wheel, you'd want to go about 40mm offset. A 25mm + - a few mm spacer should work. The 65mm offset 996 rims rub against the struts so you want it pushed out some.
