Default Transmission Removal

I am going to try and upgrade my IMS bearing myself on my 03. In the process of removing the transmission...can the clutch slave cylinder be left connected to the hydralic line and simply unbolted from the trans case?
thanks.

Yes, you can but take precautions against letting the slave cylinder hang from the hydraulic line. Tie it up and out of the way securely. Good luck.
