I don't think it a great price. And the ad provides few details like the trans, option sticker list, miles, maintenance history, tires, etc.

(I say this having sold a 59k mile '01S in perfect shape medium options new PS2s during the summer for considerably less.)

If a buyer is serious enough he could call or email for more details .. That's at least what I would do if interested in a car. No tire kickers please. Full documents available on request . The car is clean needs nothing.. Had also a recent clutch, just changed the front brake pads - great little car !

wow maybe where I am they are worth significantly more? KBB for my area shows private part value in "good" condition (not very good or excellent) at 17k,fair is still 15.6k, that is for my 02 S (relatively low options, 6 spd) with 65k miles. I have not seen a S for sale here in the PNW (in the winter no less) for less than 15k

Just a suggestion, maybe post more info like the mileage. (I'm not in the market but some RL members might know someone who is. The mileage is one of the first things people ask.)

Yes, all pricing is local and a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

My car was located in a rural area 50 miles from the nearest big city. I wanted to move it so I priced it right. It sold within 4 hours of being listed on Craigslist to the first caller for cash without even a test drive while I was telling other callers to wait. Does that say I priced it too low? Or does it say my ad said the right things and the price didn't get in the way of the sale? Could be either.

When I go to Craigslist NYC I don't see a great variation in prices from those I see nationally. Nor do a see a lot of Boxsters offered for the size of the population in the surrounding areas nor do I see much competition in the S model with less than 100k miles.

It is always a choice to see if you can maximize the price with the tradeoff that you sometimes have to wait for that to happen ... if it does.

Good selling.

What they're listed for may be quite a bit different than what they sold for...if they sold.

Im trying to sell mine right now, I have had alot of interest in mine at 15.9k but nobody has actually came through yet...if it does not sell in another 2 weeks or so Im just going to pull it off the market and keep it, I refuse to give the car away, especially after just spending the money on the IMS replacement.
