Default Locking / alarm re-set

New member with Boxster - All doors, windows, trunk etc locked up but I can open driver's side door with the key. When I try to use remote locking all I get is a double beep which goes away if I open the driver's door. Looking at the manuals it looks like I need to reset the system and at sfop. Does anyone know if there's a sequence I can run myself? Thanks

This sounds like the Vehicle Handover that needs to be performed by the dealer as it may have gone into "Transport Mode". Do your interior lights not work either unless the ignition key is turned on?

Hey there, thanks for the reply. I'll have to check on that in the morning - I took it to the local Overseas Car Center and they advised that "their software doesn't run deep enough" and gave the same advice to take it to the dealer. What's the deal if the lights work without the ignition?

Well my understanding is that is a telltale sign its in transport mode so it might not be the problem in your case.

Right, well thanks for the response, I'll post the solution (when and if!)
