Default Stock Muffler + Fabspeed Cat bypass pipes and aftermarket headers

Has anyone had any experience with Cat bypass pipes, new headers but stock Muffler?

I am thinking it will improve some performance while not too loud. (May only increase 3-5 db?)

Please feel free to tell express what you know here. Any opinion welcome. Thanks.

I once tried running cat by pass with stock muffler. Thought it would add just a little volume to the stock muffler and sound nice.

WRONG! Sounded like crap. It was noisy, but not in a good way. Just sounded lame and sick. I changed that set up out quick! It made the worst possible exhaust sound you can imagine. Definitely didn't sound like a Porsche any more.

Do a search, I have / had that exact setup and put some info about it here on RL.
