I have a 2000 Boxster S. For the past couple of weeks, not all the time, but sometimes at startup, I hear a high pitched whine, like a whistle, from the front of the car. Lasts maybe all of 1-2seconds. Any ideas? I am thinking something to do with the vaccum for the brake resovoir?

Good question. I have not really paid that much attention to full tank or not. Harryrbc mentioned gas tank vent line. I guess I could start paying attention to if it is a full tank or not. But, what could be wrong with a gas vent line to cause this and if so do you know the fix?
