Guys,

I'm also in the market. Looking to move up from a nicely prepped Audi A4 1.8t, which I've been autocrossing and getting to the track a couple of days a year for HPDEs.

Thinking about a 986 as a daily driver for a summer or two, then adding some lightness, a roll cage. hardtop and a trailer to it.

Still learning about the differences across the years... I think I want a 6 speed S.

Well, what I really want is a GT2...but that ain't in the cards right now.

Looking to pull the trigger by next spring...I'm in no hurry, still enjoying the A4, and want to find the right car. Willing to travel anywhere in the CONUS to purchase. Having said that, I was on a trip in Florida years ago when I found my S6 about 10 miles from my house...couldn't wait to get home!

Right now I'm looking to learn...need to get some seat time in some cars...

BTW, the other thought is to pick up an early 996, but I think the 986 will be a better car for my purposes...

Thoughts, comments, donations appreciated.

Lee

I agreed to go to $17k on my cream puff 01 996 Carrera. I want to buy another cream puff 996 TT that came to my attention without my looking for it after buying the Carrera, so that's the only reason I am selling this nice car only a couple months after paying $18k for it from the guy who owned it from new and meticulously maintained it at the dealer. (complete documentation)

The buyer is waffling on it due to the 110k mileage issue (the only reason the original buyer decided to sell, since he was afraid of a car with over 100k miles), and trying to get me to go lower than $17k, which isn't going to happen.

If you are interested, call Nero, the owner of Titan motorsports today at (407) 277-8423. He is handling the sale of the Carrera and owns the TT. I have told him to give the buyer til tomorrow to pull the trigger. Otherwise I am taking the car back and forgetting the TT deal. It was actually a tough decision to go with the TT over this nice Carrera, so it won't be hard for me to reverse that decision.

Default It sure looks like Ocean Blue instead of Lapis Blue as advertised.

I have an '00 Ocean Blue S.

I have found a few in the US but most that look decent are autos, not cool.
