How do you lock the replacement liners in place? The early Boxster engines were lined to address cylinder porosity and the liners would sometimes work loose when the lip used to secure the liner in place would fail.

Autofarm IIRC has liners that lock together and form an almost closed deck (as opposed to the open deck the stock engine has).

Sincerely,

Macster.

The rings we have made will only work with cast iron or nikasil.

We use a stepped cylinder, The factory cylinder is machined down to the bottom of the water jacket, that is where the new cylinder rests.

The block is heated in an oven and the cylinders are put in dry ice, we put Loctite sleeve retainer on the cylinders then install. Then deck the block and finish hone to size.

If you race a 2.5L Boxster in the Mid Atlantic you probably have run against one of our motors.

Sloan,

Good to know you are out there when the need arises.
