I have to say that Macster is my benchmark for longevity of the Boxster. Compared to his I "only" have 115000 or so miles. I have to concur with those who feel if you have over 75000 miles or so you should be fairly assured that you will not have a catastrophic engine failure from the IMS issue. My first Boxster was an 01S lease that I had new and self detonated with 250 miles. When I purchased the second Boxster I had no qualms whatsoever about the reliability of the car.

^This guy had him beat as of a year ago. Florida 2000 Boxster S purchased new in 2001.
Strict dealer maintenance followed.
Original IMSB. 2 water pumps. Motor mounts half way. That's all.
27K miles a year average.

Damn! I need to drive my Boxster more. That's almost 60K more miles than my Boxster. No way. I'm thinking that odometer has been tampered with. Oh wait, wrong direction. Damn! That's some miles. Next to a Turbo owner with last I read over 360Kmiles on his car and engine that's the most miles on a late model Porsche I'm aware of.

330K miles not bad for a 'disposable' Porsche.
