Default TTP Oil Saver System



Anyone familiar with the TTP Oil Saver system?

It is made to protect 08 and earlier Boxster, Cayman and Water Cooled Carrera engines when driven hard on a race track or normal roads with fast corners.

It consists of a TTP custom Oilpan with Baffles and a TTP custom Twin oil pump kit, with fittings & hose.

When you are cornering Right, especially on a racetrack with semislicks or slicks, the engine oil is collected in the left head & side of the sump, because of centrifugal force. The original oilpan cannot hold the oil in the center. Therefore the engine oil feed pump has starvation. In this situation the TTP custom oilpan with baffles collects the oil in the center of the sump and oil starvation cannot happen.

When you are cornering Left, the oil is collected in the right cylinderhead at the front of the head because of the centrifugal force. The original oil scavenge pump is located at the rear of the cylinderhead and cannot collect the oil fast enough. The result is lack of oil returned to the sump. The oil pan with baffles cannot help because there is insufficient oil in the sump.

When used in combination with their custom Oilpan, the TTP twin oil pump solves this oil starvation problem. While one pump is working like the original return pump, the second oil pump returns the oil back to the sump during left cornering and keeps the oil level high enough for the oilpan to hold the oil. The engine oil feed pump has no starvation.

The TTP system is made to OEM standards and is bolt-on while the engine is in place.
