Default Define what you are seeking to achieve

by spending money on an "upgrade" exhaust. Is it sound? Additional power?

How much are you willing to spend?

Gonna be doing the work yourself?

Willing to replace cats? Headers?

Have any welding equipment handy?

The additional power on an exhaust upgrade is marginal, with a cat delete, headers and free flow mufflers maybe 10HP or less than 10%. In combination with a ECU reflash and less restrictive air intake, maybe up to 10% power increase.
So more power is not the point. The point is SOUND. More sound (and the Boxster sounds beautiful with the right set up) gives you the feeling of more power. You will floor it more often, rev it higher and **** off your neighbors with a big grin on your face. You will be driving as if you had 100HP more, and using every one of them! A fast car has suddenly become MUCH faster! A fun car has suddenly become MUCH more fun to drive! So with 200 and something HP to propell the car, and 100HP and something HP to blow your ears out, you will have a hell of a time in your Boxster!!!
