Default Unique Boxter Color's

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a Boxster for my special gal!

I saw a real unique color that appeared to be a combination of metallic rose/ light pinkish color (no Mary Kay stuff). The car was an auto (perfect for her) and was wondering if I was hallucinating on my color observation or could it have been a special ordered color? I've googled images of colors and cannot seem to find the same color of the Boxster she is interested in. Thought you all may be able to guide me. Any thoughts to the color I observed. I saw a car of this color @ DC auto and I think the Boxster was being parted due to excessive front end damage, but she really liked the color.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

I think the color that you're looking for is "Meridian Metallic."

I think you're talking about "Orient Red metallic". It is kinda girly colored, and looks pink under sunlight.

Here's an example:

It's a special order color.

Thanks VGM911, I'll see if I can find an example of that color.

boxtaboy,

checked the link of the color you provided and this color is much darker than the color I observed on the Boxster @ DC auto and since the car was in the warehouse w/ no sunlight, it looked much, much lighter. Thanks for the suggestion.

Not sure, must have been an early model due to it being dismantled and the front end damage did not look that significant to me. It must have been borderline totaled. I think it had the amber in the headlights if that helps.

Thanks!

This site has all the colors for the various years. If you don't see it it is probably paint to sample (special order)

A quick correction to my above post. It seems to others that Meridian Metallic does have a brownish-pink under tones, so that could be what you were looking at.

There is one more similar color called Mirage Metallic that is also characterized as champagne colored.

Below is a list of Porsche Silver color from Eric (the plug guy) and the Meridian sounds like it could be it.

Mirage Metallic is a champagne beige color
Meridian Silver is a light silver with a hint of pink undertone (warm)
Arctic Silver is a light silver with a black base (cold)
Polar Silver is a light silver with a blue undertone (colder)
CGT Silver is a shade darker than Arctic, but just barely (warmer)

This is the closest color example of what I could find online. The Boxster I observed actually appeared somewhat lighter and more Champaign-pinkish? I wish I could find other angles of this attached color example and this appears to be close to what I recall seeing.

Ah, then you're talking about Meridian:

It's also a special order color.

Sure you wouldn't rather give her this?...

Cuban silver? Cassis red? Both of those are Porsche colors & fit your description.

Found you a Meridian Boxster for sale. Looks like a good one too!

Check it out. I think this is the color you're looking for. They have a lot of good pics with this add. However the rose color that is in there doesn't really come through much. Very nice car though. Good Luck.

My '01 S is Meridian Metallic, and I never noticed any pinkish/rose color until today. It stormed pretty decent for a little while here in the Big D, and I don't know if it was just weird lighting from the clouds after the rain, but when I went to steal a glance at my car in the parking lot, it almost had a rose colored reflection in it. Maybe I bought a girl-ly car! Now everyone is gonna tell me I'm getting in touch with my feminine side & such... At least I don't have the chic-tronic gearbox! It is a beautiful color though. Still gives my that crazy face altering smile when I drive it! Well, off to do my hair, and get some shoe shopping in!
