Default need reliable independent service shop in Miami

I have an '06 Boxster with 50k miles. I had some service done at the dealer just a week ago before my warranty expired but now my brake warning light is on. I can see that the front pads need replacement. Can someone recommend an independent shop in the Miami area?

Dealer said the cost for front pads/rotors replacement = $1000.

I would consider doing his myself... always have but now I have no place to work on the car... I'll rent a garage and do it myself before I pay this.

BTW, do I need to replace rotors with every pad replacement?

Thanks

Just had this priced by my local Porsche dealer also, I have a 01/ Base and was quoted 750.00 for new rotors , pads, etc. can't imagine why 250.00 more.

Pedro's Garage is located in S. Fl. Worth looking him up - he's a master when it comes to the Boxster.

A very big 2nd on Pedro!!! He will show you what needs to be done as he is doing it. Once you see how the pads go, you will not need a garage to do it again.

He is a super nice guy and really knows the Boxster well.

Thanks for the info... I spoke to Pedro yesterday and he'll be taking care of my brakes.
