Default Are factory GT3 6-point harnesses street legal?

The subject line says it all. The link below should take you to an advertisement for the GT3 harnesses. I have heard that the red "press" button allows them to be legal for street use.

Yes. They are Schroth Profi II-6 harnesses made for Porsche and IIRC the Schroth is the only DOT approved harness set on the market. I could be wrong but I know they are legal. I ran them in my GT3.

FYI...per Schroth directly:
SCHROTH harness belts meet all certification requirements by the German TÜV, ECE-R 16.04 and US-DOT FMVSS 209 for use on public roads.

If the harness has a DOT approval label they are legal. Most are not.
