Default Well worth the trip to Blowing Rock

It is worth registering and staying for several days for the folks you meet and the things you learn about your car. Went last year with my wife and we both enjoyed. Unable to go this year but in a week or so am meeting up with a couple we met there.

I had been going for several years before my kids started going to college.
Itg is the largest gathering of Boxsters on the east coast with about 100 or so.
Great times and great people.
If you're lucky you'll meet Pedro the King of the Hacks !

I think my wife and I will cruise over there this evening. Its only a half hour drive on the parkway from us. I think in years past they stayed at the Green Park Inn. One of our favorites with the creaky floors and antique furniture.
Don't forget the 928 "Sharks in the Mountains" next weekend

...try the Meadowbrook Inn, right in downtown Blowing Rock.

Thats where they are this year. I've been in the place before, but never stayed there. It seems real nice.

...they are always at the Meadowbrook. I've been to at least 6 or 7 of these Blue Ridge Boxster Summit's....lot's of fun and spirited driving. There is a wealth of knowledge gathered in one spot.
All questions can be answered and lot's of tech work takes place.

Sad to say I no longer have a Boxster. After 2 IMS failures, in 2 separate cars, I left the fold.

Just a quick reminder for those who are interested...2011 BRBS next week. New venue this year less than a mile from my house. Should be a lot of fun. If anyone is attending or considering, feel free to contact me for any assistance I may provide. I don't have a Boxster, nor have I registered; just anxious to share in the enthusiasm or help anyway I can.
All the best.

I really need to participate in one of these events, unfortunately this will not be my year.

I'm participating and instructing at the Peachstate PCA DE at Road Atlanta that weekend.

Maybe next year....

Whalebird, I was at the dentist in Spruce Pine Thursday morning, came back to Linville on the Parkway. I pulled over near Chestoa overlook and watched about 30 Boxsters, some Caymans and a couple of 911's heading north. Some really nice sounding machinery in the group.
Still looking,
MM
