Default Boxster spoiler

Hi guys I when I bought the car it came with this spoiler non installed. It doesn't seem to be an aerokit model. Do you think that the original spoiler needs to be disabled with this one.
Still debating if I should install it. Think it comes from ebay...
TIA

Pics are working fine for me now Yes, I think the spoiler should be disabled if you install that. Porsche does not recommend aftermarket spoilers, though; they aren't generally wind-tunnel tested, and can lead to loss of control at high speeds.

I've had the same part, sold it soon after buying the car, not my taste. Mine wasn't a factory component, but I believe Porsche did offer a version. The stock spoiler will clear it and allow airflow, no need to disable. In fact, the manufacturer adverstises that it's compatible with the stock spoiler.

Yeah you are right. Just wanted to be a little different than all other boxsters out there. And I did get it for free. But I guess with all the carbon fiber parts the 19" wheels, the aerokit spoiler, side skirts, white back lights instead of yellow, white third brake light, and the fact that it is yellow, will make it feel more like my personal car. Mind you just having a Porsche is great. I love everytime I see one drive by, no matter what mods there are.
So yeah after lots of thought this weekend and asking some of my friends I have decided to not install the back spoiler.
Anybody want to buy a fugly spoiler.
Thanks everyone
