Default I rebuilt my 2000 Boxster S engine.

What started out as a crack in a cylinder head, became a full rebuild project.
It turned out great, and I documented my progress here:
http://www.986fix.com

and on youtube as well: http://www.youtube.com/profile_video...=glenn986s&p=r

Cheers,

Glenn

wow great info

where did you get parts?

I thought Porsche didnt sell any parts for these M96 engines and just sold outright engines?

been following your progress for awhile. the think I'm most curious about is how to make the special tools. if you could do a faq on that, or talk to one of us so we could put it together, that would be HUGELY helpful. nice job on your website & w/ all of your video footage. it is VERY much apprecated!

Thanks! Having rebuilt a Ford 429 in my younger years, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Porsche flat six all disassembled and some unique reassembly techniques

Impressive undertaking!
I'm disappointed in Porsches' response...but it was an 8 yr old car...no idea what any other manufacturer would do.
But 'Excellence was expected'!!
