I looked at an 02 S 29,000 miles...I "know the car" it belongs to a friend of a friend...it is from Champion and has lived most of it's life garaged in FL, in fact it wouldn't start when we went get it, having sat for 2 years without running...Dead battery, and a bad fuel pump.
It has a problem with the ignition switch, you need to turn it back counter clockwise a hair to get the a/c to come on, and the dash readings don't seem to go right out when you shut it off
Also there is evidently a reportable accident (at Carfax) from a really minor accident where the right door and fender were REPLACED the owner insisted on the body shop replacing rather than fixing the panels.....there are also about 6 very minor dings here and there
To make a long story short...asking price is $22,500 what is it worth....$18?
I drove it and it seems to run very well, only one squeek in the drivers door?????

Too many good ones out there to consider a questionable one. 2 years without running isn't a good thing over all. Though the price at $22k is low for an 02 S but not for that condition. IMHO, it's not worth considering.

 

Someone wiser than me once told me about buying expensive things - if there is doubt, there is NO doubt.

Walk away from it if you don't hink it is right for you. As sputter said, lots of good ones out there.
