Question Drag back on power

Hi
On driving on motorway in 4th and 5th gear the boxster seems like its being dragged back, like there is a loss of power for a split second.
Also when the car is just idling the revs are erratic dropping to under1 then goin almost to 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any ideas would really help. Thanks.

unplug your MAF and go for a drive. if the problem goes away, replace the MAF. FYI, the MAF (mass air flow sensor) is located near the air filter.

after unplugging the MAF's wiring harness, you will need to reset the DME by disconnecting the neg battery cable for at least 1 minute. then reconnect (the battery, not the MAF) and go for a drive. resetting the DME is essential.

keep in mind that 97-02 cars will need a radio code after the battery disconnect.

if you do need a new MAF, www.AutoHausAZ.com has the best prices these days.
