Default xenon headlights flickering

I have now had two instances where the headlights on my car flicker on and off when I turn them on. When I turn them off and back on they stay on.

has anyone had this happen?

Your headlight switch may be going. I had the same symptom. Then the headlights wouldn't light at all. A trick to try if they don't light is to turn on the high-beams (push--not pull). This will generally get them to fire because of the way the circuits "overlap" in the switch. This is after studying wiring diagrams. Pulling to get the high beams routes the electricity through the same path. I got a replacement switch from Jeff at Sunset Imports. I hear that you may be able to use an Audi switch as well that's cheaper. If I get a chance to put it in this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, I put it off too long. the headlight does not light up at all now. one of them flickered for a bit but that is all. They do light up when I push the stalk forward. Any hints on the Audi part #?
