58k miles, asking $20k, was thinking of offering high 16s in the hopes of getting it for low 17something. Silver/grey, needs a 60k service. New tires, healthy clutch, top in good shape.

Any advice/bargaining ideas appreciated!

I'm just as caustious, maybe more so, when I come across a 'true good to be true' deal... though I don't know if this car falls into this category. I haven't done even a www.kbb.com (et al) used car price check to see what the price range is.

Give car a good going over. Look for accident damage repair, body work, paint work, etc. How has car been used, stored, maintained?

Any paperwork showing some little things taken care of which could indicate car was loved, cherished, and received better than average care?

Have PPI done and be sure car passes all safety/insurance/emissions tests/checks required for your area.

A big concern for me would be a leaking rear main seal that upon further inspection would turn up the crankshaft out of position and therefore engine in need of replacement.
