More B&M Short Shifter questions (re: install)
I just did the B&M Short Shifter install. I realized after I had the console back together that I forgot a couple of things.
First off, on the shifter assembly housing that bolts down to the car and holds the shifter, on the underside of this housing there is a little green plate that the B&M directions said to take off, and I subsequently forgot to put back on.
Second, while looking at the stock shifter after the fact, I realized that there is a little white plastic cube that fits over the ball that connects the shifter to the linkage that controls the side to side motion of the stick. It slides around within a channel on the shifter housing. Is it necessary to transfer the ball over to the new shifter? B&Ms directions said nothing about transfering them over.
I drove 200 miles before noticing I neglected these two bits. It is shifting just fine, I just want to make sure that there are no adverse long term effects.
