Rear compartment behind the seats?
Hello,
I know for the '99 to current models, there is a rear compartment right behind the seats which isn't on the '97 model. Does anyone know if one could be added to a '97 model, and if so, how hard is it to install, and what type of price would I be looking at?

Do you mean the storage "slot" above the engine? If so, they are expensive. Used, they go for something like $150. New, I think they are several hundred. I sold mine for $100 before I knew how much they were worth.

I have one for sale. Grey carpet with the rear speaker kit already installed. The compartment is $500+ from Porsche, $200+ for the speaker kit. I will sale you it for much less. PM me or email me at gl-g100rcd@sbcglobal.net

1997-1998 had a net or vinyl storage bag.
I have a 1997 and replaced the bag with the plastic storage box. There is a support bracket for the bag, if you have the bag, on the middle roll bar padding that needs to be removed for the box to fit.

Thank you very much for the replies everyone. Tool Pants, how much did it cost to replace the bag? My '99 has a storage compartment, but I'm looking at purchasing a '97 that doesn't have either.
