driving along, hit a bump, went to drive off and nothing happend
went to start after and all i got is ignition lights but thats it.
does not even crank i have tried the following-
1. both keys
2. no ignition live at starter but constant live is there, feed starter and it cranks over
3. no fuel pump sounds, feed fuel pump it works
4. cheek relays at rear, moved around still no joy
5. disconected battery for an hour reconected, still nothing
6. alarm control unit fuse ok and has no water damage inside/under seats ect.
7. ground points all ok

any ideas???? thanks

 

my first guess will be ignition switch.
search for "ignition switch", which is a common faulty part for 986/996
