Thanks all.. I just haven't seen too many with their top up. I'll look - in the next few weeks we'll be entering winter again and then I'll just go by the dealership to look. Seems like there is a consensus that this is a "normal" thing. I'm wondering now if I can figure out what does it. It must hit some part to do this. Maybe I can "pad" the part to reduce the wear.

Mine (2002) has marks that are similar. I did treat it with Porsche's Top Conditioner (there were no RaggTop dealer in my area) and it has less obvious. That said.... it cannot cure the fabric. I decided to treat the top with the best products I could find (including Plexus for the plastic window) and just live with it.

Anyways... you have to think "who cares, the top is down most of the time!"
