2008 Boxster Special Edition

Anybody else think a black script PORSCHE down the side (ala 1972 911RS) would look awesome?

 

the article doesn't say much, the only thing special it shows is the color, since the aero kit is already an option, I don't think the color will work out well on a car with the same power as a standard S

 

I never personally liked that on the RS, it looks to teeny bopper to me, but your point is well taken. It would be fitting if this is to be a "special" version.

I too am not a fan of the script on the side of the cars. On a 1973 RS, it is not a problem, in fact on that car it is part of the ethos. On any other car... it is hit and miss. And more "miss" then "hit".

 

Will this Boxster be lighter than the standard S then and cheaper too? Like the Road America 911s.

 

..no it won't and the 911 was called the RS America, I believe.

The Orange car will NOT be a lightweight track special, just an eye candy issue.
