Source for painted center console??
I have a 2000 Boxster S and am looking for a source from which to purchase a painted center console (the one between the seats). Any one know of a source for these that can either be supplied already painted to match the exterior body color or come primed and ready to be painted? Thanks for the help. Scott

Guys,
The Official dealer will do it for you.
They just remove what you want painted, paint it and stick it back on.
I got some parts done and its a very7 professional looking job

I ordered the console from By Design their web site is <a href="http://www.e-bydesign.com" target="_blank">http://www.e-bydesign.com</a> but it may be down right now becuase it did not open this morning. They advertise in Excellence and their phone number is 888.993.2911. Cost for the painted center console with no core was $500 with core I think it is $300. Since mine is leather I opted to keep it rather than turn it in to avoid the core charge. Give them a call they may be able to set you up. I am not affiliated in any way and just ordered my part and it has not arrived yet so can't comment yet on the paint finish but expect it to be excellent since they use the real german paint which is more expensive than using like dupont.
