Boxster S door locks programing

Is there a way to program the auto door lock feature on this car. Does the dealer have to do it?

Unless you have the PST2, you'll need to slide into the dealer. They hook up and go into alarm mode, and can set door locks for 1) upon ignition, 2) upon 3mph, or 3) not at all.
