Dimming lights and cut out
I have a problem with a 97 Boxster. Drives wondefully 99% of the time but occasionally lights start dimming radio dies and engine cuts. Suspect something weir on the charging system but happens so rarely cant seem to catch the fault before it corrects itself. Restarts immediately after cut out. Also noticed white chalky stuff on top of battery.
Any ideas or suggestions? Local dealer say cant do anything until it happens more often. They have scanned it and cleared 2 fault codes both oxygen sensors apparently, but they didn't think there was a connection.
