My mom put a deposit down on a '00 boxster with 6k miles...the car is going in for a PPI on thursday.

Is there anything in particular that I should tell the mechanic to look for?

When should the first oil change be done? The owner says the oil hasn't been changed yet and shouldn't be changed until 15k miles. I was planning on a 3-5k oil change interval...Is there any reason to let the oil go to 15k miles (let the rings seat??). Remember the oil thats in there is 2 years old already...

Any other tips for boxster ownership/purchasing?
There's a huge FAQ/list of stuff to look for, for 944's...anything out there for boxsters?

Porsche says to change the oil (use Mobil 1) every 15,000 miles or every year, whichever comes first. So I would change the oil.

Other than that, I would be surprised if anything else is needed.
