Need Help, changing brake pads
My friend has a 98 Boxster that needs to have the front pads changed. We are going to change them in the next week or so and I was wondering if there is anything special that needs to be done or any tool requirements. I'm used to simply pushing the pistons back into the calipers with a c-clamp and installing the new pads but I don't want to damage anything.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Alan

Hello Alan,
Well, replace the pads in a 986 is a straight forward operation and no special tools are required to complete it.When you remove the pads clean the calipers with soapy water and let them dry before you install the pads.

Jim

Thanks for the info Jim, I'll be changing the pads this weekend and I'm glad there's nothing to worry about.
