Default James Dean edition Boxster

Hi All:

I have a James Dean edition Boxster that I would like to sell. What is the market on this car. It is a 6 speed with 3500 miles. No accidents and no paint work. Thanks for the feedback.

I paid $41,400 for a 4000-mile car last November. It had the Cocoa Brown interior and just three options - center console, CD console insert, and cruise control. So add half a year's worth of depreciation to that, and there you go.

Based on my experience looking at cars and talking to people regarding the "550 Sypder" Boxster, the black-interior cars are worth a couple grand less. Half of the magic of the car is in the unique interior.

Footnote: This whole "550 Spyder" business as it relates to the marketing of the Boxster annoys me to death. Clearly the car looks like an RS60, not a 550. What's the problem with being accurate about it?

I've never heard of it called the James Dean edition, only 550 Spyder Anniversary Edition.
There was a guy in Ohio that did build a "James Dean" Boxster S with 550 looking headlights and other touches to make it look retro i.e. straps on the trunck and ols style 356 gold emblems. Don't know if that was a one off.
