Post 2.5 vs. 2.7

I' considering a pre owned Boxster (98-00 models). Any comments or pros-cons on the change in the '00 model?

It will be a daily driver and occasional track car.

Thanks

In 2000, not only did the motor get bigger, but the interior is vastly improved as well. The 99 isnt a bad car at all, its just that a '00 and up are a bit better. The 97 boxster is not the same quality as a 98 or newer.

Good Luck, you will enjoy it....

I second Johns thoughts. I am a former owner of a MY 00. Vastly improved interior materials and the 2.7 engine (more hp and torque along with reliability). The good thing about a 00 right now is that it should still be covered under warranty (I want to say the MY 00 had an increased warranty over the 97-99, but I am not sure on that). I do know that the 00 has a 4 year warranty. Great cars either way.
