Post Jack Lifting Plate

Has anyone tried the 993 or Boxster jack lifting plate from from Tweeks? At $75.99 this seems to be a very expensive item, has anyone tried it, does it work?

It is not necessary. A number of small jacks fit. If your car is lowered then drive up on a piece of wood first. I purchased my jack from a parts place many years ago, so I do not remember where I got it. But sears has a low profile jack. The jack plate does nothing.

Actually, depending upon your jack design - mine has like a circular cup top - the jack plate will protect the underside of your car / spread the load somewhat.

But, before you spend out on a ridiculously expensive jack plate - just buy an extremely high - tech device known as a "hockey puck" This works perfectly to sandwich between the jack and the jacking point - at least on my 993.
