BOXSTER HARDTOP OR CONVERTIBLE???
Ok,
I am considering purchasing a 97-99 boxster. However, I am wondering about the hardtop option.
-Does a hardtop fit all boxster models by merely installing over the convertible assembly? Or are there specific boxster models without a "soft top" that are hard tops only? Or can you have both a soft top and hard top on the same car by only using the hard top for DE's over the soft top and then using the soft top the rest of the time?
-I am really confused on this and before I seriously consider a boxster, I need to know the answer to this.
thanks

Greg,
The hardtop will fit any Boxster. It installs with the top down, there's no need to remove the top (nor any facility to do so to the best of my knowledge).
The only caveat is that you must install the brackets for the spin locks that hold the hardtop in place. They are easily ordered from any dealer, especially the ones who sponsor Rennlist.
