I just picked up a '99 porsche boxster 2.5L, but the car came with no owners manual, trying to find out what weight of oil to put in to my car ... i know it's mobil 1 synthetic

Also, check your local Wal-Mart. I generally despise them as retailers, but sometimes they have gallon jugs of Mobil 1 for $18. Viscosities vary, but they usually have 1-2 different ones in the deal.

There is a special size tool to safely remove the oil filter as well. Not absolutely essential but, who knows what that high tech plastic cantainer cost. Think I got it off the Matco truck.
There has been an update to the recommended oils and Syntec 5-50 is on the list and avaiable at most Wall Mart stores; got mine on sale.
