Exclamation New Boxster Prices / Deals?

OK...common question. My brother is now looking at a new Boxster. He's headed down this weekend and we're going to do some serious shopping. I'm aware of what the list prices are for the base Boxster, but I'd like to get a feel if there are a lot of incentives and/or "deals" out there for new Boxsters? And, if anybody feels like sharing, what did you pay for your NEW base Boxster? (Sorry, we've ruled out the S)

Thanks so much!

I was at a dealer here in Houston yesterday looking for a '99 and was offered an untitled 2002 for $38500. It was out of my league, but that's what he quoted.

That 38500 is about $4500 under list. No glass back window though. The options are what Porsche gets you on. My advise is go for the minimum stuff. get remote locking, premium sound and buy & put on the windstop kit yourself or get them to throw it in. A wheel upgrade is always nice as well. Most Dealer websites have a build your car section. this is where you can see what these options cost and understand how the pricing can get so out of control. Keep it simple.

Keep it simple? ...you don't know my brother, do you? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I'm hoping we'll find something "on the lot" that one of the (two) dealers in the area will want to move on.

I wouldn't be afraid to suggest an '02, but then I'd recommend a hard top, which kind of negates the discount. We'll see...

Thanks all.
