Post S front bumper on non S

I need to replace the front bumper cover on my 01 Boxster and have located a 02 S bumper of the same color (no painting!).

Has anyone else done this? I understand that its a simple bolt on, but what do I do with the center radiator hole? Will it look ok without a radiator behind it?

This is what the base Boxster looks like with the cover off. Jeff

Thanks!

I guess I will need to put a black cover behind the center radiator hole so that those wires will not show.

The first car is a friend from when we replaced his bumper cover. The 'wires' are vent tubes for the headlights.

This is my car after a truck backed up into me, and I added very loud air horns. As long as you have the cover off.... You can get a black metal mesh grill for center opening - that will let the air horn sound out if you put a set in. Jeff

Sounds like a plan. I had an argument with a pickup truck too.

Boxster bumper is no match against a Chevy, and you can see why the driver did not see me. When I saw the back up lights I knew what was going to happen, did not hear my horn, and I could not back up as there was a car behind me. Now I have air horns.

In my case it was my fault, at an entrance ramp the truck in front of me took off fast, so I started to follow him, glanced left to check for traffic (there was none), but as I looked back, I realized he had stopped, so I hit his tow hitch with my front license plate at about 5 mph. I have no idea why he stopped.

He saw a Porsche in his rear view mirror and thought he could get some money out of it.
