Post made a recording of my new intake.....

I fitted an Evo intake to my 03 S

what a %^$#& job that was
7hrs later, it is all done

<img src="http://www.qplanet.org/q/post/boxster_intake02.JPG" alt=" - " />

the noise is incredible.
here is a sound file:
<a href="http://www.qplanet.org/q/post/60kphon&off.MPG" target="_blank">--C L I C K-- mpg 658kb (no vision) </a>

The recording was made from the passengers seat,
with the windows and roof up.
No animals were harmed in the making of this sound file. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

cheers

Thanks for the recording - interesting.

So, how come you never hit the rev limiter? Now that would have been good to listen to!!

Yes, it is wrapped in an adhesive aluminium tape.
Obviously I am trying to keep as much heat out of the intake tract as possible.
I applied the same product to the plastic heat shield also.
