Post ever think to put a GT3 engine in a Boxster ;-))

just wondering. a 996 engine fits with small mods.
a Gt3 engine would do even better ;-)
I always wanted a Turbo or a bigger engine in a Boxster.

This guy started with a 1997 2.5. Then a 3.4 from a 996 with nos. Now he says he has a GT3 motor. Jeff

Here is the car on another board. He said he replaced the 3.4 with a GT3 motor. If I ever see the car I'm going to take a look for myself and see what is in there. Jeff

GT3 or 996t motor is based on the air cooled block. Different bolt pattern against the trans. Plus starter is over the engine on 986 & 996C, starter is over the diff on GT3 or 996t. Not easy to convert. A G50 trans upside down might work, but that is no small job either.
