Anyone know where I can rent a Boxster for a good deal in SoCal?
I was hoping to rent a Boxster or hopefully a Boxster S for a day in LA/Orange County/or San diego (in that order). Any ideas as to where to go that will not rape me ten ways to Tuesday? Fees? Excess mileage? Has anyone done this?
Yes, I can rent them in Las Vegas, but that will not work.

I did run accross a place in Huntington Beach last summer. But there were extremly expensive. I know there's also a place in Beverly Hills. Both of which have (had?) Boxsters and 996 Cabs. If I remember the names I will post them just in case.
My monthly payment turned out to be less than what they wanted for a day, so I bought one instead .
BTW, I haven't tried this myself. But have you talked to a dealer? If you are renting it with the possibility of purchase, they may be a little flexible on the length of your test drive <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> .

You can try Budget in Beverly Hills. They rent everything including Murcielago's, F-cars, and yes, Porsches. Last time I checked 986s went for $100+ mileage per day. When I flew into LAX last Feb. for the Porsche Memorabilia Meet I remember seeing a rental place along Century Blvd, just as you exit the airport that had a couple of Boxsters outside for rent. Sorry, can't remember their name. Probably would be the same kind of money though........

I just called Beverly Budget and some punk wanted $300 a day for a regular Boxster including 50 miles and 54 cents after. Give me a freak'n break. That makes Vegas look dirt cheap. A cold day in hell for that pricing.. it is not even on this planet.

Yeah, Budget was the place in Beverly Hills I called last summer. I think the place in Huntington Beach was affiliated with them, or at least wanted the same kind of money.
What place did you call in Vegas? I go up there on occasion and might want to check them out.
