Driving a Boxster S - any pointers?
I am 17 and one of my friend's Dad's has a 2001 Boxster S. He is letting me take it out and have fun with it (really, he trusts me.)
Any pointers on driving the car? It is a Tip, but that wasn't my desision.
Any pointers?
Thanks!
I will make sure to <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" /> before I go

Yes, at 167mph be sure and test the blinkers to make sure they are still functioning properly...
oh wait, that's if you have a 6 speed... well... nevermind... just get out there and enjoy!

Never driven one??
Keep your traction control ON!
And learn to feel the corners. The car can handle a lot of gas in a corner due to the mid-mounted engine. If you have any racing experience, use it to the fullest, as it is a true sportscar/supercar/racecar and does take a bit to get used to.
Have fun and avoid stick Boxster S's in racing applications!

I'm only 17 and my friends dad isn't coming. Ahhh, it feels really good to be 17 and be trusted with a car like that. Hey, I am waiting, he put $$$ down for a Aston Martin Vanquish last week, he will let me take that out also, when it arrives.
He will be all <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" /> and then I will go <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" /> them I will be like <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" /> to the cop and I will run into <img src="graemlins/icon107.gif" border="0" alt="[icon107]" />
FYI, the car is Seal Grey with black interior, very evil. I will report back soon.
ALSO: What is the difference between the S and the non-S?

Porsche's website has the complete stats on both cars and will explain the differences between the S and non-S. There are both performance and styling differences (interior and exterior) between the two cars, and about $10,000 in price, with the "S" the more expensive model in base configuration. (Options will always change the price)
