Post Shifting my Boxster

How many rps's before you engage 1st gear, 1st to second and so on. Is there a general rpm range? I have the feeling I'm shifting at too low rpm's or I'm shifting too fast.

Thanks

The boxster (unlike my 944 turbo) has great low end torque...so shifting low is OK, just don't bog the engine (1200rpm in 5th gear).

Once the car is broken in, dont hesitate to toss it up to redline a couple times though!

I think a good shift point for typical driving is ~3k rpm...maybe 3500.
