Hello fellow listers.
As you have probably noticed I am from the 951 board. I looking to purchase a daily driver in the next 6 to 12 months and just wanted to know whether or not a 97, 98, or 99 boxster would be good for that?
What maintenance issues do these cars have? What do I need to look for? What is a good price? I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

All 3 years are pretty solid, of course if you can go up to 2000 you can get a bigger engine with the 2.7 or 3.2 of the S, but otherwise, good daily drivers, no more maintenence or problems than any other car, in fact the worst problem seems to be a rear main seal springing oil leaks but that is covered under warranty, or might be depending on what year you buy and how much is left.
Ebay is a good barometer of current prices, which have fallen this year, and will likely continue to fall into the fall as convertibles become less attractive.
