RMS repair when out of warranty?

The dealer wanted 1500 for parts alone stating flywheel needs replacing. I think I can do a lot better on parts. I won't pay labor twice, I'll probably do it myself. The only reason I had the dealer to the RMS was because I wanted the cases checked and all that good stuff, in case I needed some goodwill help if they said I had one of the "bad" cases.
