My car is an 01 Boxster. I recently left the lights on by accident for about 4 hours. When I realized this, I shut them off and went in the house. The next morning the battery was completely dead. No suprises there.

I jumped the car according to the owners manual's instuctions. That day the car charged and started easily. The next morning, the battery was dead again.

I brought the car to my mechanic and he checked the alternator and replaced the battery. The next morning, the battery was dead.

Now the mechanic spent several hours on the car only to find that there is an unexplained 4 amp draw on the battery.

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

WELL IF YOUR TECH CANT FIND A DRAW YOU NEED TO FIND NEW TECH

I agree with firehawk this is tech 101...start pulling fuses until the 4amp draw disappears...when it's gone the draw in on that last fuse pulled's circuit.

OK. I took the car to another tech. He also was unable to find the reason for the 4 amp draw on the battery. Any further suggestion will be appreciated.
