Pedals all shifted to the right?
Test drove a friends 2006 Boxster this week and have been considering a late model 986S for a while, but have not test driven any yet, only ridden in a few over the years. While I really like the new Boxster overall, one thing that really bugged me was the feeling that the entire pedal box felt shifted toward the center tunnel. The dead pedal was where I would expect the clutch to be, the clutch where I would expect the brake, etc.
Are the older S models set-up the same way? I suppose I would get used to it, but even with tilt, I found myself banging my knee into the bottom of the steering wheel due to the high engagement point on the clutch and the position of the clutch pedal.....could be a deal breaker for me.

If it is offset, it has not been enough for me to notice and the dead pedal is right where I naturally reach to put my foot when cruising or taking a high speed sweeper for leverage.
Certainly much better than some exotics I have sat in at shows or friend's cars where you feel like you are driving it sideways. I'll have to sit in a 987 and check out the difference.
Hope to see you in one or the other soon!
regards,
Jeff
